You Will Behold the Glory of the LORD

There are many who say that Christianity is just a little over 2000 years old and that some of the eastern religions have been around much longer than Christianity. While it is true that Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem about 2000 years ago; that isn’t the beginning of Christianity. That is when the glory of God was shown to mankind in human form, Christmas is the time we celebrate that birth. However the Glory of the Lord has been available to be seen even before recorded history. Psalm 19:1 says, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”

Then it was the glory of the Lord that was seen as a pillar of fire by night and a pillar of cloud by day that lead Moses and Israel across the Red Sea and through the wilderness. That same visible evidence of the Glory of the Lord not only appeared but abode on the Mercy Seat in the Holy of Holies in the Tabernacle in the wilderness and later in the Temple in Jerusalem. The Bible records these things in the Old Testament historical books of Exodus through the Kings and Chronicles. Afterwards God revealed His glory to the prophets several times throughout the Major and Minor Prophets.

People might not believe these written accounts of the glory of God dwelling with mankind because the present public media does not confirm them. God has allowed us humans to have and exercisable will that could accept or reject truth even when clearly presented to us. However those who reject the truth will still suffer the consequences as Pharaoh did in the book of Exodus. They will see the glory of the Lord as the consuming fire on Mount Sinai as the prophets Daniel and Ezekiel warn, and as Jesus Christ the Son of God warns in the Gospel of Matthew. All that John has warned of in The Revelation will come just as God has planned

The same God with the same power that he showed in creation and the judgment of Egypt and in the wilderness and at Jericho and the dedication of the Tabernacle and Temple and on mount Carmel and revealed to the shepherds on the hillside can be seen by the all the world if they would seek the Lord

And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed,

and all flesh shall see it together:

for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.

Isaiah 40:5
